New Terminator Video Game Delayed, Sets New Release Date
Bitmap Bureau and Reef Entertainment announced their upcoming retro-inspired Terminator game, Terminator 2D: No Fate, is getting delayed. However, players anticipating the release won’t have to wait too long.
What is the new release date for Terminator 2D: No Fate?
The new release date for Terminator 2D: No Fate is this Halloween, October 31, 2025. The delay is primarily due to the manufacturing process of the physical version taking longer than expected. As this delay gives the developer some extra time to polish the game, both the physical and digital versions are impacted. The game was originally scheduled to release on September 5, 2025.
“Coordinating and manufacturing the physical release has been a longer process than we anticipated, and as a result, we’ve had to delay the release of the game. We apologise, and thank you for bearing with us.”
“This delay will also give the team at Bitmap Bureau extra time to apply some final polish to the game itself and we would like all players to have the opportunity to experience the best version of Terminator 2D: No Fate together. As such, this delay will apply to both physical and digital versions of the game.”
Terminator 2D: No Fate is an arcade-inspired video game that adapts the events of the popular James Cameron film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, Linda Hamilton, and Edward Furlong, Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Players will play as Sarah Connor and the T-800 as they take on the T-1000. While the game features moments from the original film, it also includes multiple endings.
The physical edition of Terminator 2D: No Fate will be available at select retailers. The Day One Edition includes a Reversible Cover Sleeve, “Unknown Future” Cloth Poster, 25mm Collectible Metal Arcade Token, Full Color Manual Book, and Collector’s Box. The Collector’s Edition includes everything from the Day One Edition, as well as a Collector’s Tim, Steelbook, “Fiery Visions” Cloth Poster, Premium Metal Paperweight, Flipbook, and Art Book.
